Where and How To Find a Lucrative English Teaching Job

Would it be Busan with it's popular beach 'Hyeundae'?

Would it be Daegu that is famous to have the prettiest Korean women in all of 'the Hermit Kingdom'?

If you're looking for your best chances at finding your ideal Korean woman I recommend moving to Seoul.

If you have to start working near the outskirts then so be it.

I recommend it more than Daegu because Seoul is more international (and that's stretching the truth) and most single Korean women flock to Seoul.

You'll be fine in Seoul as well because the transportation is very efficient and cheap.

So if your job ends up being a bit further out you can still get into Seoul and back comfortably.

Make sure you also have all the Visa requirements done! If you come to Seoul with all the paperwork for you to teach English in Korea done you're guaranteed a job!

The paperwork is the hardest part for your potential employer. Make it easier for him/her and you'll give yourself a solid leg up!

I'd even say that it's more valuable than a TEFL certificate (read more about whether getting ESL certification is for you by clicking on the link!)

If you can't come to Korea to find a job then you can take your chances with a random Hogwan job. You can find them on Dave's ESL or just through searching with the search engines.

Note: A 'hogwan' or (학원) is an private teaching academy.

Whatever happens make sure you have a contingency plan! Also make sure that you have some money set aside for a return ticket just in case.

If you have no cash then I recommend working at either

• Pagoda

• Chongdam

• YBM (the company and not the franchise.) They will work you more than a typical hogwan but you'll get paid on time. That's what I did my first year and I'm glad I did. Read more about these types of ESL jobs in Korea here!

It set me up to teach English in Korea with a much more lucrative job. You see sometimes to get the better jobs you need to know someone. Your chances of doing that are higher if you're in South Korea than if you were trying to do it from your country.

Make sure your English teaching job doesn't have split shifts! Ideally you want to have a job that doesn't have any split shifts. You'll want to work at a school that puts all your hours together so that you are then free to go out and do what you want.

Live Where There's An Abundance of Korean Ladies!

Hongdae is full of Korean women from universities. It's also a party area and a great place to meet Korean ladies.

Gangnam also has plenty of gorgeous Korean women. They're more princess-y but are beautiful and plentiful. You'll more easily find your ideal Korean woman here (this is where I used to live.)

Noksapyong is an international area near Itaewon. I recommend Noksapyong because many Korean women aren't comfortable with Itaewon (too many foreigners.) You can more easily introduce them to the international community there.

You'll also live near Namsan park which is a great place for a date.

So if you want the best logistics for dating or having a relationship with a Korean woman then live in either of these three places.

Ideally you can work in one of these areas. If you don't that's okay too. Again you'll be able to commute easily because Seoul has one of the best subway and bus systems in the world.

Teach English in Korea To Make Your Korean Relationship Come True!

Buy a better wardrobe. You can go shopping in Dongdaemun or Myongdong (among other areas) for good clothes at reasonable prices. If you're quite tall then you can go to Itaewon and find fashionable clothing.

Koreans favor appearances so looking good really helps!

Fund your outings and dates. Whether or not you're looking for a Korean relationship or just dates then you'll have the time and money to do it. You'll be making more than the average Korean worker so enjoy!
