It's hard to make that decision when in the relationship.

We might feel like everything is okay.

Or at least it's manageable and you're surviving.

On the other hand our friends and family can see our struggling and know we could be happier.

Or worse - Deep down we know that ending the relationship will make everyone feel better and we'll be free again.

Until that point we just can't put our finger on what's causing the relationship problems. In reality the relationship is all wrong and ending a relationship with so many flaws is the best move you can make.

So when is ending it 'better'? If the relationship is eating away at your:

• Manly and affectionate needs and desires

• Self-esteem

• Social circle of friends and family

Then it's time to cut your losses.

Get Your Time And Money Back

How about your time commitment? Are you spending too much time thinking about her and trying to meet her? Or what about the time you're spending on commutes?

What if she went back to Korea and is expecting you to come see her?

Sadly our own money and time investments trap us. The more we spend the more we expect. When we don't see any return we start to spend more in hoping that "it'll work this time!"

But it doesn't and we're too emotionally involved to move on.

If this is you then I recommend taking a huge step back! Talk about your situation with your closest friends and listen. Their distance from the situation will help keep your head clear.

Sure you're okay on the outside but on the inside you feel a pain too quiet and too deep to bring out and describe.

Our good friends prove themselves to be our best allies. Nowhere is this more true than when we're thinking about ending a relationship.

Our friends and family have the advantage of an objective perspective on your relationship. If the ones you trust are telling you that it's time to cut your relationship then I recommend listening to them.

What's worse is if your 'partner' is aware of their efforts and is trying to limit your time with them. If she's using passive-aggressive techniques (making you feel guilty for wanting to meet friends, etc...) to get you away from them then I recommend ending your relationship.

Our friends and family are people who will stick with us. When we ignore or deny them in this case we're hurting them.

Why?

Because they know that we're in trouble and although they wish they could speak reason to you - it's up to you to do what's right for you.

Especially if they're thousands of miles away as you're alone in Korea!

When Ending A Relationship Works

When we're in a bad relationship we might not notice it.

Worse is when we do and yet don't get ourselves out of it.

By accepting and staying in it we are sealing our fate.

If this is you then please take action by breaking up.

If she lives too far or it's costing you too much then break it off.

'There are plenty of fish in the sea' as they say.

It's time to break it off and spend some time getting to know yourself. It's time to heal and restore your sense of pride and esteem as it was before.
